About Me
Hello, my name is Taka, a blogger from Japan and the creator of this website.
I have completed the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage (Ohenro) twice on foot.
My first journey was in the traditional order (Jun-uchi), and my second was in reverse order (Gyaku-uchi).
Both pilgrimages were completed in sections over time.
Walking the entire pilgrimage gave me not only practical knowledge but also a deep understanding of the spiritual and cultural aspects of this journey.
About This Website
This site is dedicated to sharing useful and practical information for:
- People interested in the Shikoku pilgrimage
- Beginners who are planning their first pilgrimage
- Travelers looking for an authentic cultural experience in Japan
Whether you are preparing to walk the entire route or just curious about the experience, I aim to provide clear, realistic, and helpful guidance based on real experience.
Why I Created This Blog
When I first started the pilgrimage, I often struggled to find reliable and easy-to-understand information, especially in English.
Through this website, I hope to make the Shikoku pilgrimage more accessible to people from all over the world.
Final Message
The Shikoku pilgrimage is more than just a यात्रा—it is a personal journey of reflection, challenge, and discovery.
I hope this website helps you take your first step.
Thank you for visiting.
