Ohenro Compass is now easier to use on your smartphone.
We have released an official Android app for Ohenro Compass.
The app is a dedicated browser for Ohenro Compass, designed to make it easier to access useful information while walking or traveling around the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage.
Useful Ohenro information in one place
Ohenro Compass provides useful information for pilgrims visiting the 88 temples of the Shikoku Pilgrimage.
The website includes information such as:
- Maps and access information for each temple
- Accommodation information
- Public transportation
- Train and bus timetables
- Transportation routes between temples
Information covering all 88 temples is available, so you can use the site according to your own pilgrimage style.
Whether you are walking the pilgrimage, using public transportation, or combining different transportation methods, you can find information to help plan your journey.
Save useful pages to Favorites
The Android app allows you to save useful articles to your Favorites.
For example, you can save:
- Information about temples you plan to visit
- Transportation information for a particular section
- Accommodation information
- Articles you want to check again later
Your saved pages can be accessed quickly from the Favorites screen.
You can also change the order of your Favorites, allowing you to organize the information according to your own pilgrimage plan.
In this way, you can create your own collection of useful Ohenro Compass information.
Japanese and English
The app supports both Japanese and English.
You can change the language from the Settings screen.
Easy access while on the pilgrimage
When you are on the pilgrimage, you may often need to check a map, find accommodation, look up a bus or train, or check how to travel to the next temple.
Instead of opening your browser and searching for Ohenro Compass each time, you can simply open the app and access the information you need.
With your frequently used pages saved as Favorites, the information you need is always just a few taps away.

Download the Android App
The Android version is now available.
The app is currently distributed directly from the Ohenro Compass website rather than through the Google Play Store.
Depending on your Android device settings, you may be asked to confirm the installation of an app downloaded from outside Google Play.
