Recommended accommodation pattern based on my walking pilgrimage experience
When I did the walking pilgrimage, I stayed at the temple lodging at Temple No. 75, Zentsuji. It had hot springs and private rooms, and the quality was comparable to a hotel, which made it a very comfortable stay. Temple No. 71 is close to the city area, but reaching it requires climbing about 200 meters in elevation, which was more challenging than I expected. Also, there is about a 12 km distance from Temple No. 75 to Marugame, where more hotel options are available, so I chose to stay at the temple lodging instead of pushing too hard.
